We take Mountain pictures wherever we can find them.  Mountains have majesty, beauty, splendor and power.  There are endless things to photograph and new things to explore.

We learned early on that taking pictures looking uphill gave better results than looking downhill.  It is always good to close one eye and re-evaluate the quality of a possible mountain picture.  Many time the binocular vision afforded by two eyes is what makes the scene work.  On a picture, without the depth perception effect, there is nothing exciting.

Where we live we see frequent examples of how mountains are even able to influence the weather.  Albuquerque, New Mexico is on the west side of the Sandia mountains.  The weather on the east side of the Sandia's can be completely different.  Weather conditons from the east pile up against the mountain causing more rain, clouds and storms.

We try to always have the camera with us and take ictures of the clouds, rocks, storms, and mountains whenever we see something interesting.

This website displays only a few of our collection of mountain pictures.  At Walking Rain Gallery we have more, as well as many pictures of other subjects.  Clicking links on this site will take you to the rose category of Walking Rain Gallery.
